In what appears to be a first for not only Matter, but also Apple Home, Cozy Home has launched a new product aimed at boosting HVAC airflow. This product works by replacing existing vents in your home that carry airflow, and boosting it with the help of motorised fans within the replacement vent.

You are able to control the speed of the fans directly In Apple Home, just like you would any standard fan, but the smart vents also come with on-device controls. The company claims that the boost received from these fans can increase the speed at which the specified temperature is reached, by 30%, which in turn converts to cost saving down the line. Like many other HomeKit solutions, this can be installed yourself, thus also saving costs typically associated with a professional installer. However, these smart vents do require permanent power, so getting power to these vents could be more complex in some cases, although a power cable is provided and already attached .
